By standardizing product classification, mapping coffees to pricing curves with proprietary methodology, ensuring traceability, streamlining logistics and payments, and reducing credit risk, we equip producers, exporters, importers, and roasters with the tools they need to trade with confidence.

By rationalizing product classification, employing proprietary methodology for pricing curve construction, mapping product to pricing curves, ensuring product traceability, and streamlining logistics, payments, and mitigating credit risk for the parties, we empower both producers, exporters, importers and roasters with the tools they need to trade with confidence.

After extensive system design, development and testing over the past several months, we are targeting the formal Launch of our business for January 2026.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. Initially the role will focus on developing and implementing Accounting and Treasury procedures, flows, systems and management reporting prior to Launch date, targeted for Q Following Launch, successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Initial focus will be on setting up and managing departmental headcount and expense management reporting, comparing actual costs against forecasts, to ensure that managers understand and are accountable for their costs, and their cost drivers.
• As post-Launch, the business starts to generate revenues and positive cash flows, develop management reports for the Head of Sales and Marketing to analyze income, transaction volumes, and key statistics: such as subscription cash flows per subscriber, and trading revenues per trader for different classes of subscriber
• Note that a substantial portion of our revenues will be Subscription revenues, which under GAAP, must be deferred into the period in which they are earned. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the completeness and accuracy of deferred amounts.
• Monthly meetings with managers will be essential to get their feedback, and understand how their business plans and forecasts are changing
• Later in the evolution of the business, the candidate will be responsible for design and implementing systems changes to implement internal and external sales commission reporting, including development of payment processes for employees, contractors, and external brokers.

Qualifications:

• Accountant with 3-5 years of experience in auditing or accounting work supporting sales and trading or commodities import businesses, who would be excited to be part of a startup venture.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to design and implement accounting processes and management reporting.
• Experience with accounting and reporting packages like Quickbooks, Zoho Books or Power BI would be an advantage.
• Experience in establishing and running expense management, revenue management and sales commission management and reporting processes for a fast growing business.
• The individual should be a clear and confident communicator to senior management, and be a self-starter and a strong team player, willing to dive in and get the work done.
• The candidate shall demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills combined with a proactive mindset.
• The ability to adapt to technologies and evolving business processes.
