Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Biomed Technician to perform both preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all hospital equipment and systems are operating efficiently, safely, and reliably, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Preventive Maintenance:
- Perform scheduled inspections and routine servicing of machines, equipment, and systems.
- Conduct lubrication, cleaning, adjustments, and parts replacement as per maintenance plans.
- Maintain accurate records of all preventive maintenance activities.
- Assist in developing and updating preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.
Corrective Maintenance:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, or control system issues.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and carry out corrective repairs.
- Identify root causes of recurring failures and recommend long-term solutions.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure quick resolution of maintenance issues.
General Responsibilities:
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance areas in good condition.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support reliability programs.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and document all maintenance activities in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Provide support during equipment installations, relocations, or upgrades.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or technical certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance; associate degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance techniques.
- Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools, diagnostic instruments, and testing equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Physical ability to lift, climb, and work in various environments.
Work Environment:
- Hospital Industry settings
- May involve exposure to noise, dust, grease, and mechanical hazards.
