Primary Job Duties of a Warehouse Auditor:

  1. Inventory Auditing

  2. Conduct physical counts of inventory and reconcile with warehouse records or system data.

  3. Perform cycle counts, spot checks, and full inventory audits.

  4. Documentation & Reporting

  5. Maintain accurate audit reports and logs.

  6. Document discrepancies, damaged goods, or misplaced inventory.
  7. Report audit findings to management.

  8. Compliance Checks

  9. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and legal regulations.

  10. Verify that goods are stored, handled, and shipped according to standards.

  11. Process Evaluation

  12. Evaluate storage, picking, packing, and shipping procedures.

  13. Identify inefficiencies or non-conformities in warehouse operations.

  14. System Accuracy

  15. Ensure Warehouse Management System (WMS) data matches physical inventory.

  16. Update system records after audits if authorized.

  17. Collaboration

  18. Work with warehouse staff, supervisors, and inventory control teams.

  19. Provide feedback and recommendations for improving accuracy and workflow.

  20. Loss Prevention

  21. Detect and report potential fraud, theft, or loss.

  22. Suggest improvements to minimize inventory shrinkage.
