Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in claim setup: record incoming claims, enter policy and claim information into the system with accuracy.
- Review and verify claim documents and supporting materials for completeness and compliance with company policy.
- Maintain organized physical and electronic claim files; ensure filing, indexing, and document storage are accurate and accessible.
- Correspond with policyholders, brokers, medical providers, or other stakeholders to collect missing information, clarify details, and provide claim status updates.
- Perform routine data entry tasks (dates, claim numbers, payments, etc.) and ensure data integrity.
- Prepare standard reports: claim status, summary of documents, pending requirements, processing times.
- Assist with payment processing, invoice reconciliation, and generating letters/forms related to the claim.
- Support the claims team in general administrative tasks: answering phone or email inquiries, scheduling follow‑ups, assisting in audits, and similar duties.
- Adhere to regulatory and confidentiality requirements, and ensure that sensitive information is handled appropriately.
