About the role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this Commercial Finance Staff role at DESCORP INC.' offers an exciting opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to join a dynamic and fast-paced organisation. As a Commercial Finance Staff, you will play a crucial part in supporting the financial operations and strategic decision-making processes of the company. This full-time position is based in Makati City, Metro Manila.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a database of financial records and statements
  • Analyzing financial data and developing models for forecasting.
  • Preparing financial and strategic plans for departments and the organization.
  • Creating detailed reports and financial performance models.
  • Evaluating financial performance through comparisons and variance analysis to explain discrepancies.
  • Recommending improvements and financial structures based on trend analysis.
  • Developing policies and procedures for cost analysis.
  • Assessing new and existing projects, investments, and assets to determine their validity and value.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information for financial analysis.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reports as needed to support decision-making.
  • Assist in the evaluation of potential investments, mergers, and acquisitions.
  • Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in a commercial finance or analysis role, preferably within a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong financial analysis and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide meaningful insights
  • Proficient in using financial software and MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive and analytical mindset
  • Genuine interest in contributing to the growth and success of the organisation
