he Operations Manager in Construction is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations on construction projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves managing teams, coordinating with subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, optimizing resource use, and maintaining strong communication between all project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:1. Project Management & Execution

  • Oversee multiple construction projects from initiation to completion.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and schedules.
  • Ensure that all work is completed to client specifications and regulatory standards.

2. Team Leadership

  • Supervise and coordinate site managers, engineers, supervisors, and construction crews.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and training to staff to promote efficiency and safety.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and manage staffing needs.

3. Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Develop and manage project budgets in collaboration with the finance team.
  • Monitor expenditures and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Approve procurement of materials, labor, and subcontractors.

4. Compliance & Safety

  • Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal construction codes and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits.

5. Planning & Scheduling

  • Create and maintain detailed project schedules.
  • Coordinate logistics, including delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Manage resource allocation and availability.

6. Client & Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress, issues, and milestones.
  • Address client concerns and ensure client satisfaction.

7. Quality Assurance

  • Implement and monitor quality control processes.
  • Ensure workmanship meets company and industry standards.
  • Conduct inspections and resolve quality issues.

8. Strategic Development

  • Assist senior management in developing long-term strategic goals.
  • Identify opportunities for business growth and operational improvement.
  • Implement construction best practices and technological solutions.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction operations or project management.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Primavera).
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
