At Ox Tools AU, we design and supply professional-grade hand tools and site gear trusted by builders and tradies across Australia. We're growing quickly, and we're looking for a skilled, detail-oriented Accountant to join our offshore finance team from the Philippines.

This role is work from home and offers the opportunity to support a dynamic international business, take ownership of core accounting functions, and develop your management accounting skills in a supportive, fast-moving environment.

What You'll Do

As our offshore Accountant, you'll play a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely financial operations for our Australian entity. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the month-end close (journals for accruals, prepayments, FX, reclasses)
  • Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations with full supporting documentation
  • Managing banking operations (daily payments, overseas wires, cash and credit card monitoring)
  • Completing bank reconciliations (AUD & USD)
  • Owning the accounts payable process end-to-end – invoices, supplier reconciliations, payment runs
  • Assisting with GST/BAS reconciliations and preparing audit schedules (IFRS/US GAAP basis)
  • Driving process improvements across AP, banking, and month-end reporting workflows
  • Managing the accounts inbox with professional, timely communication
  • Supporting management reporting through cost/variance analysis and ad-hoc reporting
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or studying toward is valued)
  • 2–5 years' progressive accounting experience (month-end close, reconciliations, AP, banking)
  • ERP experience (NetSuite ideal, but not essential)
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations)
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills
  • Independent, proactive mindset – able to meet deadlines and solve problems without hand-holding
