Linux Administrator

Project Assignment Location: Asean Drive Filinvest City, Alabang, Muntinlupa City

Hybrid (3 days per week RTO/onsite)

Shifting schedule (Morning, Mid, Night), Monday to Friday

·       Willing to do some traveling (business needs)

Qualifications:

·       At least 5 years of senior-level Linux administration experience (preferably RHCE certified)

·       Excellent English communication and documentation skills

·       Strong in Enterprise IT change management and business-aware analysis

·       Deep expertise in Linux systems (RedHat, CentOS, Debian/Ubuntu)

·       Proficient in Linux automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Azure/AWS APIs)

·       Skilled in Linux scripting (Shell, Perl, Python) and package creation (RPM/DPKG)

·       Experience with Azure cloud platform and HPE hardware (Moonshot, Proliant)

·       Hands-on with Linux virtualization (KVM/QEMU) and automated deployments (Kickstart)

·       Familiar with Linux monitoring tools (Zabbix, Prometheus, etc.)

·       Knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, SAML SSO, and VMware

·       Exposure to FreeBSD, embedded Linux, SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk), and IT security

·       Good understanding of TCP/IP networking, web services, and Azure SaaS/PaaS

Nice to have

Experience of Thin/Zero Client architecture

Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud architecture

Experience with Linux Kernel internals

Other UNIX/UNIX-like OS experience

Experience of supporting UNIX/Linux systems running SAP

Knowledge working within ITIL framework.

We're looking for a Senior Linux Engineer with extensive Enterprise Linux experience and preferably IT Retail support. As a member of the Infrastructure Shared Services Center, the Senior Linux Engineer will represent his/her department towards the Business Units and project teams and will assure a determining role in the management, support, maintenance, implementation, administration and lifecycle management of Linux platforms

You will be positioned as a level 3 in the organization, using his/her expertise for the ultimate level of escalation in case of incidents and for the contribution in the qualification of new solutions, assisting in the deployment. The role is broadly split between providing day to day operational support for existing infrastructure services and users of those services, and project-based work leading to the Implementation and integration of exciting cutting-edge technologies into EssilorLuxottica IT environment based on Linux.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain under operational conditions the current retail systems in the Asia Pacific and associated hardware solutions in respect of the Support processes.

Build, deploy and administer/manage new systems, predominantly Linux-based

Pro-active in ensuring stability, response time, operational consistency and life cycle over the platforms.

Contribute to continuous-improvement cycle for all functional/operational matters relating to all Linux platforms.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Contribute to search and qualification to new solutions

Provide monthly reports on activity, quality and performance of the platforms

Ensure appropriate documentation, including procedures for lower levels of support
