Jr. Mining Engineer

Job Description:

The Junior Mining Engineer will assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of mining operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective extraction of mineral resources. The role involves supporting senior engineers and supervisors in mine design, production monitoring, quality control, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing short-term and medium-term mine plans in line with production targets.
• Support in drilling, blasting, hauling, and ore extraction activities.
• Monitor daily production performance and prepare reports for management.
• Conduct ore grade control activities to ensure quality and minimize dilution.
• Assist in surveying works, including pit design and mine progress updates.
• Coordinate with supervisors and operators to ensure efficient implementation of plans.
• Participate in mine safety programs and promote safe work practices.
• Help ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
• Perform other related tasks as may be assigned by the Senior Mining Engineer or Mine Supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Must be a licensed Mining Engineer
• Knowledge of mine planning, drilling, blasting, and grade control techniques.
• Familiarity with mining software (e.g., Surpac, AutoCAD) is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of safety and environmental regulations in mining.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php20, Php25,000.00 per month
