Jr. Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for conducting software testing and quality assurance for applications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop test cases based on the test design
  • Create functional test plans and test designs for the product or feature under test
  • Works with project team and ensures quality of assigned applications
  • Maintains and generates data needed to execute test scenario/scripts
  • Participates in design reviews for the functional test definitions and plans
  • Reviews product requirement and design documents to determine scope of test development
  • Works with QA Team and participates in the identification, development, creation and improvement of the testing processes/framework
  • Regularly check the system for defects or issues
  • Test Execution and reporting
  • Report and document defects or issues to the development team
  • Defines and executes test plans and technical test designs for complex projects.
  • Executes functional test plans and test designs for the product or feature under test.
  • Reviews Provides metrics and reports on test results/status.
  • Documents test scripts in a common repository.
  • Review user documentation and training materials for accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Software Engineer or equivalent
  • Deep understanding and interest in Quality Assurance and Software testing
  • Knowledge in developing test scripts, system testing and debugging
  • Good technical understanding and can pick up new tools/software quickly
  • Must be patient and keen to details
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Willing to work onsite daily in Ortigas, Pasig area
