Role Overview

Reporting to the Country CFO and functionally aligned with the VP, Tax & Customs (UK), the Philippines Tax Director will lead the development, implementation, and oversight of tax strategies, compliance, and advisory services across the Philippine business. This role ensures alignment with CCEP's global tax strategy while managing local tax obligations, audits, and planning initiatives. The role also contributes to regional and global tax projects and represents the Philippines in CCEP's tax leadership forums.

Key Responsibilities

I. Strategic Leadership & Governance

• Own and implement CCEP's tax strategy, policy, and governance framework in the Philippines.
• Identify and manage tax risks and opportunities, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
• Represent the Philippines in global tax leadership meetings and contribute to group-wide initiatives (e.g., Pillar 2, Profectus, Longview).

II. Tax Compliance & Reporting

• Oversee accurate and timely tax filings, payments, and statutory reporting for CABPI, CCEAP, and subsidiaries.
• Lead monthly and quarterly SOX certifications, tax provision approvals, and reporting to CCEP Tax.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, Excise Tax, Income Tax, and DTA regulations.
• Manage external audits and liaise with tax authorities.

III. Tax Advisory & Planning

• Provide proactive tax advice on business transactions, contracts, and legislative changes.
• Review and advise on Local Business Tax, Real Property Tax, and transfer pricing matters.
• Develop tax-efficient structures and planning strategies to minimize liabilities and optimize compliance costs.

IV. Operational Excellence

• Oversee applications for business permits, invoice printing authority, and registration of books.
• Ensure transformation into a tax-compliant entity through periodic reviews and process improvements.
• Support legacy merger title transfers and coordinate with legal, property, and business units.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years in tax management, with minimum of 8 years in a managerial position
• University/Bachelor's Degree – Required
• CA / CPA / MBA preferred
• Extensive experience in managing external tax advisors
• Extensive knowledge of Tax Compliance, Tax Advisory and Tax Assessments, Tax Planning,
• Strong background in tax planning, controversy, international tax and transfer pricing
