Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled 
Remote Team Leader – Technical Support
 to manage and support a remote team responsible for handling
CCTV systems
and
network troubleshooting from Layer 1 to Layer 3
. The ideal candidate will have strong technical acumen in IP-based surveillance systems, networking fundamentals, and remote diagnostic tools, combined with the leadership skills to guide a support team to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a remote team of technical support agents and engineers.
  • Provide expert-level remote support for IP-based CCTV systems, DVRs/NVRs, and VMS platforms.
  • Perform remote diagnostics and troubleshooting of Layer 1–3 issues:
  • Layer 1
    : Identifying physical connectivity issues via remote monitoring and client-side checks.
  • Layer 2
    : Diagnosing switch/VLAN configurations, MAC issues, and link failures.
  • Layer 3
    : IP conflicts, routing issues, firewall configurations, and VPN connectivity.
  • Use remote tools to access systems, gather logs, and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex technical problems.
  • Monitor team performance, set KPIs, and ensure timely ticket resolution.
  • Document solutions and contribute to the knowledge base.
  • Could you coordinate with on-site technicians or clients when physical access is required?
  • Train and mentor team members in troubleshooting techniques and customer service standards.

Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as
    CCNA
    ,
    CompTIA Network+
    , or vendor-specific CCTV certifications are a huge plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of technical support experience with CCTV and IP networking.
  • Experience leading or supervising a technical support team (remote preferred).
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, switching, and remote access tools.
  • Familiarity with popular CCTV systems (e.g., Mikrotik routers, Dahua, Ubiquity).
  • Proficiency with remote desktop tools, diagnostic utilities, and monitoring platforms.

  • Strong IT

    background. Understanding of LANs, WANs, and how to resolve various IP-related issues
  • Excellent remote troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Strong documentation and reporting abilities.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated with a strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working across time zones and in a flexible remote environment.
