Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees and manages the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
  • Helps with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit.
  • Assesses current practices and procedures, and makes recommendations for improvements.
  • Prepares, reviews, and analyzes monthly financial statements for the businesses to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Performs ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
  • Supervises and/or manages general ledger accounting functions.
  • Develops staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
  • Works with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • Must have experience in Banking, Retail & Food Industry.
  • Has experience in Inventory Management/ Control.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory/managerial role.
  • Can create KRA/KPI for the accounting department team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization.
  • Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results
