Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Project Development Manager based in Manila, with some work-from-home flexibility.

We are seeking an experienced professional to provide strategic and legal support for renewable energy projects in the Philippines. The role involves guiding project development, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting business and project teams to achieve successful project implementation.

Scope

  • Advising on legal and regulatory compliance matters related to the development, land, permitting, and implementation of renewable energy projects in the Philippines.
  • Supporting Business and Project Managers to define the optimum strategy for projects in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Representing the organization before relevant regulatory agencies and authorities in the Philippines.
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements, and other legal documents required for the establishment and operation of projects.
  • Monitoring and analysing changes to laws and regulations related to renewable energy and energy policy in the Philippines.
  • Coordinating with main offices in Asia and headquarters.

Profile

  • Degree in Engineering, Law, or Finance
  • Project Management Certification
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the energy sector with demonstrated expertise in renewable energy, power purchase agreements, policy, and power system economics.
  • Experience with NPC, NREA, ECs, and DFIs / Donor Programs is fundamental.
  • Experience in securing land is mandatory.
  • Self-starter focused on delivering results without constant direction.
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills
