We are seeking a Quality Control Engineer with strong expertise in reinforcement detailing and BIM workflows. The successful candidate will ensure accuracy, compliance, and constructability of reinforcement models, drawings, and schedules before they are released for client approval or manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review reinforcement 3D models, drawings, and bar bending schedules (BBS) for accuracy and compliance.
  • Verify adherence to client requirements and project specifications
  • Identify detailing errors, clashes, and omissions before release.
  • Ensure correct application of BIM standards and collaboration protocols.
  • Collaborate with engineers, detailers, and manufacturing teams to resolve technical queries.
  • Maintain QC records and provide structured feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Mentor junior detailers on best practices and quality standards.
  • Contribute to internal audits and standardization of detailing outputs.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years' reinforcement detailing experience (Tekla Structures essential).
  • Minimum 3 years in a quality control/review role in construction, engineering, or rebar manufacturing.
  • Proficient in Tekla Structures and familiar with BIM workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of reinforcement detailing processes, standards
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
