Job description:

Preparing and serving coffee and other beverages, managing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace within a small, stand-alone, cafe kiosk. Responsible for providing excellent customer service, educating customers about menu items, and potentially restocking supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and other beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences. This may include espresso-based drinks and other specialty beverages.
  • Customer Service: Greet customers, take orders, and provide friendly and efficient service. Answer customer questions about the menu and products, and make recommendations.
  • Transaction Management: Accurately process payments using cash or credit cards and potentially handle point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Workspace Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the coffee bar and equipment. Stock and replenish supplies as needed.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate coffee equipment, such as espresso machines, grinders, and other related machinery.
  • Knowledge and Education: Develop a strong understanding of coffee and tea varieties, brewing techniques, and the kiosk's menu.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Product Knowledge: Be knowledgeable about the kiosk's menu and products, including ingredients, preparation methods, and any promotional offers.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kiosk, following established procedures.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management, including stocking supplies and monitoring stock levels.
  • Cash Handling: Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently, following established procedures.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other kiosk employees to ensure smooth operations and a positive customer experience.
