Job Summary

  • The Pharmacy Assistant is responsible for dispensing of medicines, pharmaceutical supplies and other items carried by the pharmacy

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assists in receiving and places incoming medicines, pharmaceutical supplies and other items from Material Management Division on their respective shelves, tagging and pricing each item according to directions.
  • Rotates stock, moving older medication to the front of the shelf so it is used before expiration date (FIFO).
  • Participates in monthly and annual inventory and other inventories required by senior management.
  • Assists in monitoring defective and near expiry medicines, pharmaceutical supplies and other items for return to supplier to minimize company's financial loss.
  • Assists in identifying, evaluating, and interpreting orders and prescriptions from Physicians and dispense accurately under the supervision of Pharmacist.
  • Compiles and maintains records of company memoranda, pharmacy related documents and other papers in an organized manner from time to time.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or any related healthcare course
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in a community or hospital Pharmacy
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
