Job description:

First 3 months will be Onsite to build teamwork and Following Months would be Hybrid 2 days Work Onsite 3 days WFH.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing taxation returns for individuals, organisations and self-managed superannuation
  • funds
  • Preparing financial statements for presentation to boards of directors, management,
  • shareholders, and governing and statutory bodies
  • Preparing tax statements, financial statements, and BAS statements at required intervals
  • Creating and returning statements and documents to clients by set deadlines
  • Providing assurance about the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their
  • compliance with statutory requirements
  • Identifying areas where clients and businesses can reduce tax, make claims and increase profit
  • Liaising with financial institutions and brokers to establish funds management arrangements
  • Introducing and maintaining accounting systems, and advising on the selection and application
  • of computer-based accounting systems
  • Regularly reviewing systems and making updates and improvements where necessary
  • Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and other regulatory bodies when required
  • Engaging regularly with clients and maintaining strong relationships
  • Responds to client queries promptly, within 24-48 hours
  • Must have a professional approach and the ability to self-manage and identify matters that
  • require action and complete either by self or through delegation to the team

Qualification and requirements:

  • Completed a bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or equivalent
  • Commenced or planning to commence the CPA or CA program
  • A minimum of 2-3 years' relevant experience within a public practice accounting firm
  • Ideally be familiar with software such as Xero, MYOB, BGL and Microsoft Office
  • Has experience in being both task focused but see strategically for the client
  • Some experience in developing a client base, networking and generating referrals
  • Effective time management skills
  • Proven history of demonstrating a strong client focus along with excellent communication and
  • interpersonal skills
