Job Summary:

The Credit Investigation Associate is responsible for verifying the accuracy and authenticity of submitted documents, conducting account verification through internal systems and records, and performing client calls for necessary clarifications. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of Know-Your-Customer (KYC) processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is preferred, with at least a basic to intermediate level acceptable. Prior banking experience is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and validate submitted client documents for completeness and authenticity.
  • Perform verification of bank accounts and other financial information using internal systems, records, and approved verification tools.
  • Conduct phone calls or email communications with clients for clarification or additional requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, KYC standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze financial and personal information to support creditworthiness assessments.
  • Accurately document and maintain records of all verification activities.
  • Prepare and submit reports on findings to supervisors and other stakeholders.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel for data recording, basic reporting, and tracking of verification results.
  • Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure timely processing and resolution of cases.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Banking, or a related field.
  • At least 1–2 years of work experience in banking, credit investigation, verification, or related fields (preferred but not required).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to confidently engage with clients for clarifications.
  • Knowledge of KYC, anti-fraud measures, and compliance processes is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; at least basic to intermediate skills in Excel required.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining focus and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
