GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Underwriter is responsible for processing, organizing, and maintaining insurance policies and related documents. The role ensures timely handling of rush policies, accurate updating of multiple trackers, and effective communication with banks, clients, and partner institutions. The position plays a key role in ensuring proper documentation, data integrity, and smooth coordination across operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process rush insurance policies, including timely printing of client and bank copies.
  • Maintain accurate and updated records across multiple trackers (Complete Details, MICI, VG, Endorsement, and Cancellation).
  • Organize and properly file policies on the server, ensuring systematic storage and accessibility.
  • Manage bank receiving copies and ensure proper documentation.
  • Handle outgoing correspondence by sending official writings to MICI and dispatching emails to banks and clients.
  • Ensure all policies are properly noted with relevant client information, including names and addresses.
  • Encode and track endorsements, cancellations, and other updates in company systems.
  • Maintain data integrity across all internal records and tracking systems.
  • Support the Operations Department in ensuring smooth and accurate processing of insurance-related documents.
  • Perform other related tasks that may be assigned by the Operations Manager or management from time to time, provided such tasks are aligned with the nature of the underwriting role.
