Job Description

As an Accountant, you will manage reconciliations, prepare and review financial statements, and support reporting across multiple US property portfolios. Working closely with US-based accounting teams, you'll ensure accuracy, compliance with US GAAP, and timely reporting while contributing to continuous improvements in accounting and operational processes.

The Qualifications We Seek

• Minimum 3 years of experience in data analysis, data entry, bookkeeping, or general accounting
• Knowledge of US GAAP or strong interest in US-based accounting practices
• Experience with property management accounting software is a plus (Vantaca, Buildium, Caliber)
• Ability to manage multiple clients or priorities in a fast-paced environment is a plus
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, reconciliations)
• Experience using QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar accounting systems
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills with proven client-relationship skills
• Strong background in customer service or client-facing support
• Experience reviewing contracts or sourcing contract data from providers is a plus
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and task ownership
• CPA license or CPA candidate is an advantage

Your Daily Tasks

• Assume ownership of the reconciliation process for CAM buildings/portfolios
• Summarize current financial status by preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports
• Review monthly financial statements for CAM buildings/portfolios
• Handle direct financial reporting for a portfolio of customers, including reconciliations and preparation of monthly reporting packets
• Work with the Chicago-based accounting department to reconcile and report on related CAM and corporate accounts
• Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements
• Support budget and forecasting activities
• Assist in the onboarding of new community associations
• Answer accounting procedure questions
• Assist in continuous improvements to internal processes of both accounting and operations
