Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cardiotech to join our cardiology team. The Cardiotech will assist in the diagnosis and treatment of heart conditions through performing diagnostic tests, operating specialized equipment, and supporting cardiologists in patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cardiovascular procedures and excellent technical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for cardiovascular procedures, including explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort.

  • Operate and maintain diagnostic equipment such as EKG machines, Holter monitors, stress test systems, and echocardiography devices.

  • Perform diagnostic tests accurately and efficiently, recording data for interpretation by cardiologists.

  • Assist in the administration of stress tests, ambulatory monitoring, and other diagnostic procedures.

  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality of all patient information.

  • Ensure all medical equipment is properly calibrated, cleaned, and functioning correctly.

  • Follow safety protocols and infection control procedures at all times.

  • Collaborate with cardiology team to provide comprehensive patient care.

  • Stay updated on the latest techniques and advancements in cardiology diagnostics.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Cardiovascular Technician, Cardiovascular Sonographer, or equivalent.

  • Proven experience working with cardiovascular diagnostic equipment.

  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and cardiovascular diseases.

  • Excellent communication and patient care skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Licensure or certification as required by local or national regulatory bodies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with advanced imaging techniques such as echocardiography or vascular ultrasound.

  • Bilingual abilities to assist diverse patient populations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.

  • Manual dexterity for operating delicate equipment.

  • Ability to lift and position patients as needed.
