Job Summary:

The Purchasing Officer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, supplies, and equipment required by the hotel.

  1. Procurement & Sourcing

  2. Identify and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, price competitiveness, and reliability.

  3. Solicit and compare quotations, and recommend suppliers for approval.
  4. Process purchase requests and ensure timely delivery of items.

  5. Inventory & Documentation

  6. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information.

  7. Coordinate with the receiving and accounting departments for proper documentation of deliveries.
  8. Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed.

  9. Supplier Relations & Negotiation

  10. Establish and maintain good working relationships with suppliers.

  11. Negotiate contracts, payment terms, and delivery schedules..

  12. Compliance & Cost Control

  13. Assist in developing cost-saving initiatives and monitoring purchase expenditures.

  14. Support the Finance Department in ensuring all procurement transactions are properly recorded and auditable.
