The location of the job is Sto. Tomas, Batangas. Job Summary: The Senior Purchasing Executive is responsible for managing and executing operational purchasing tasks for materials of raw Material, Purchased Finished Goods, Direct Packaging Material and services, ensuring cost-effective procurement, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring compliance with Jotun Group Purchasing policies and local regulations. This role involves end-to-end processing of purchase orders and coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders. Key Job Responsibilities: Operational Procurement: Execute and monitor the entire operational purchasing cycle, including creating, issuing, and expediting Purchase Orders (POs) for materials and services based on existing agreements and category strategies. Ensure timely delivery of materials to support production and operational schedules. Coordinate with the Logistics/Supply Chain team to evaluate and optimize transport, customs, and local regulations for imported materials. Process and monitor POs within the ERP system (e.g., SAP, IFS) based on valid contracts, ensuring accurate and timely follow-up. Handle invoice control and discrepancy resolution in coordination with the Finance/Accounts Payable department. Supplier Relationship & Performance: Regularly evaluate supplier performance by monitoring key metrics like shortages, non-conformances, and delivery reliability. Maintain professional relationships with designated suppliers and coordinate supplier meetings as required. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to Jotun Group Purchasing policies, principles, guidelines, and local laws and regulations (e.g., customs documentation). Maintain accurate records and documentation for all purchasing transactions, contracts, and supplier information. Assist in setting up and maintaining accurate Vendor Master Records. Reporting & Analysis: Track and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for operational purchasing activities. Prepare reports, cost analyses, and forecasts as requested by the Purchasing Manager or Category Managers. Support the development and implementation of local procurement strategies and policies. Internal Collaboration: Liaise closely with internal stakeholders (e.g., Production, R&D, Finance) to understand material requirements and align procurement activities with organizational goals. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. Minimum of 3+ years of progressive experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in a manufacturing or chemical industry. Proven experience in international importation, including knowledge of customs documentation and bill of lading (B/L). Experience with an ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, IFS) for procurement tasks. Strong negotiation and communication skills (written and verbal). Solid analytical skills with the ability to conduct cost analysis and prepare reports. High level of integrity, meticulousness, and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel. Acts on own initiative and accepts responsibility for results.
