The Quality Assurance Officer for Procurement and Construction is responsible for ensuring that all procured materials, services, and construction activities comply with company standards, project specifications, contractual requirements, safety regulations, and applicable laws. The role focuses on quality control, supplier/vendor compliance, and continuous improvement across procurement and construction operations.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Quality Assurance

  • Review and ensure compliance of procured materials, equipment, and services with approved specifications and standards
  • Conduct supplier and vendor quality assessments, evaluations, and audits
  • Verify delivery quality, quantities, and documentation (POs, DRs, COAs, warranties, etc.)
  • Identify non-conforming materials or services and coordinate corrective actions with Procurement and Suppliers
  • Assist in vendor accreditation, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives

Construction Quality Assurance

  • Conduct site inspections to ensure construction works comply with approved plans, specifications, BOQs, and quality standards
  • Monitor workmanship, materials usage, and adherence to construction methods and SOPs
  • Document site findings, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective/preventive actions
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Contractors to resolve quality issues
  • Support project handover by ensuring quality documentation and compliance are complete

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, contract provisions, safety standards, and applicable regulations
  • Prepare quality reports, inspection logs, and audit summaries for Management and Clients
  • Assist in internal and external audits related to procurement and construction quality
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to reduce defects, rework, delays, and cost overruns
