Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst

The QA Analyst works through the entire project, which may include pre-launch activities such as but not limited to:

  • Attending pre-bid conferences and project planning meetings to ascertain the requirements of the prospective client.

Upon the official launch of the project and during the development period, the QA Analyst is accountable for but not limited to the ff:

  • Ensure to implement quality assurance standards
  • Develop and run tests, with priority on reporting defects and reporting results
  • Ensures that products and solutions meet acceptable standards
  • Must be able to determine when a product or solution can be delivered
  • Measures the quality in the products or solutions
  • Assess risk and design processes, together with the Project Manager, Tech Lead, Support and System Analyst
  • To work closely with QA teams, Project Managers, Team Leads, and other Software Engineers
  • Provides feedback for the technical team to improve their jobs and quality, including guidance and training
  • Plan, conduct and monitor testing of various systems to ensure compliance to specifications and established standards
  • Identifying and documenting all business, technical, product and process requirements
  • Update user manuals, FAQs and knowledgebase and preparation of reports
  • Work with developers for reported problems requiring technical intervention
  • Testing with developers for reported problems
  • Directly communicate with Client for concerns & questions via email/phone/viber, until solved a technical issue
  • Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams (e.g. software developers, PMs/ TLs)
  • Provide prompt and accurate feedback to Clients
  • Refer to internal database or external resources to provide accurate tech solutions
  • Ensure all issues are properly logged/ Prepare accurate and timely reports
  • Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
  • Follow up with clients to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting
  • Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals
