Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Finance Specialist to support strategic finance initiatives and provide technical accounting advisory across the organization. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, this role ensures the effectiveness of finance policies, compliance with regulatory requirements, and supports cross-functional teams in improving finance-related processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and communicate Finance policies and operating guidelines
  • Provide technical accounting guidance on complex financial issues
  • Lead assessments and implementation of new accounting and sustainability standards (e.g., IFRS 17, IFRS 9)
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements
  • Review financial statements and disclosures for accuracy and regulatory adherence
  • Support process improvements and risk management initiatives
  • Collaborate with Finance, Actuarial, Operations, and other teams
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors as needed
  • Contribute to system enhancements, vendor assessments, and project support

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or related field
  • CPA certification (required)
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS standards, especially IFRS 17 & 9 (preferred)
  • Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is a plus
  • Proficient in financial analysis, policy creation, and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Attributes:

  • Exposure to business and corporate finance systems
  • Familiarity with actuarial processes or systems (a plus)
  • Strong organizational and collaboration skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to Php55,000.00 per month
