Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are currently in need of an Accounts Receivable Specialist whose core strength is preparation of billing invoices, collection monitoring and reconciliation, handling client disputes related to billing, etc. This role will be reporting directly to the Finance Controller.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performs data entry, prepares invoices, sends bill reminders, and contacts clients to discuss their accounts (if required)
  • Works with other departments to ensure that the correct amounts are collected in a timely manner
  • Maintain client & accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared
  • Perform account reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner
  • Prepare analytical and ratio analyses relevant to A/R so management can gain a better understanding of how collection efforts are progressing
  • Prepare and analyze the composition of actual billing data for presentation to clients
  • Continuous evaluation of current policies and recommendations for process improvements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/business or related field
  • 3-4 years of experience with collections, invoicing, and/or accounts receivable
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software like Xero and QuickBooks
  • Strong attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High degree of familiarity with accounts receivable functions
