Job Brief

We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer to join a data quality platform project. This role involves building an enterprise-grade web application by wrapping open-source libraries with a modern and user-friendly interface. The developer will work closely with the technical founders to implement backend and frontend features.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain typed, asynchronous APIs using FastAPI

  • Develop and manage background task processing with Celery and Redis

  • Design and maintain PostgreSQL database schemas and queries, including JSONB usage

  • Interface with data libraries (e.g., Pandas) and ORMs (e.g., SQLAlchemy)

  • Build responsive, type-safe frontend components using React and TypeScript

  • Implement UI with Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui (or Radix UI)

  • Create dashboards and complex data tables using visualisation libraries

  • Set up and maintain local development environments with Docker Compose

  • Ensure high performance and reliability in handling large JSON payloads

  • Implement RBAC and enterprise-grade SSO support (OAuth2/OIDC/AD)

  • Develop detailed and clear API documentation

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of experience in full-stack development

  • Proficiency in Python 3.11+ and FastAPI

  • Hands-on experience with Celery and Redis

  • Strong PostgreSQL knowledge including advanced usage

  • Comfortable working with Pandas and SQLAlchemy

  • Proficient in React 18+ and TypeScript

  • Experience with Tailwind CSS and component libraries (shadcn/ui or Radix UI)

  • Familiarity with Docker Compose, Git, and DevOps best practices

Software Proficiency:

  • Python 3.11+

  • FastAPI

  • Celery / Redis

  • PostgreSQL

  • Pandas

  • SQLAlchemy

  • React (TypeScript)

  • Tailwind CSS

  • shadcn/ui or Radix UI

  • Recharts, TanStack Table (or similar)

  • Docker Compose

Desirable:

  • Experience with Great Expectations or dbt tests

  • Familiarity with OAuth2/OIDC/AD integration

  • Proven ability to optimise systems for large JSON payloads

Education:

  • No formal education requirement specified
