Role description:
The Senior Full Stack Developer will play a critical role in the development and continuous enhancement of the Arcadis corporate website. As a key member of the Website Development Team, the role involves designing, developing, and maintaining website features and functionality using advanced programming languages and frameworks. With a strong focus on content management systems (CMS), the Senior Full Stack Developer will ensure the delivery of high-quality digital solutions that align with business objectives.

In addition to technical expertise, the role requires leadership skills to manage teammates effectively, strong communication skills to engage with stakeholders, and the ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Role accountabilities:

• Website Development: Develop, optimize, and maintain features for the Arcadis corporate website using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• CMS Expertise: Leverage at least 5 years of experience with Optimizely, Sitecore, or other CMS platforms to build and manage content-driven website functionalities efficiently.
• Team Leadership: Mentor, guide, and manage teammates, ensuring collaboration, productivity, and adherence to best practices.
• Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with stakeholders, including the Global Product Owner and Global Marketing Team, to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve complex technical challenges across the web development stack, ensuring timely delivery of solutions.
• Flexibility Under Pressure: Adapt to shifting priorities and work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality output.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in full stack web development, hands-on experience with CMS platforms such as Optimizely, Sitecore, or other similar platforms, and hands-on experience with DevOps tools and platforms.

• Certifications:

• Relevant certifications in web development, CMS platforms, and Agile way of working are a plus.

• Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks, such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, Angular, , .NET, or similar technologies.

• Proficiency in developing and managing CMS platforms as well as their integration with other analytic software and platforms (e.g., Oracle, Cookiebot, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Digital Asset Management/DAM tools).
• Proficiency in utilizing DevOps tools such as distributed version control systems (e.g. Git), code repository management systems (e.g. GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket), Containerization (eg. Docker), Container Orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes), CI/CD tools (e.g. GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins), and Cloud Computing Platforms (Microsoft Azure).
• Strong understanding of web performance optimization, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Strong understanding of various types of software development testing across different platforms (browsers, devices, operating systems).
• Experience working with project management tools such as Atlassian Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.

• Good understanding of utilizing Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Leadership:

• Proven experience managing and mentoring development teams, fostering collaboration and efficiency.

• May manage a small team who may be in supporting / administration roles. Set workloads and provide feedback.

• Communication Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders and teammates at various levels.

• Actively engages in team discussions and strategic planning.

• Adaptability:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and deliver under pressure.

• Experience with Agile way of working.
• Experience working under the Scrum framework.

• Willing to adjust shift as and when required to accomplish tasks at hand
