About the Position

Job Title: Accounting Staff

Job Summary:

The Accounting Staff is responsible for managing the company's in and outgoing payments. This includes processing invoices, verifying financial data, ensuring timely payments to suppliers and vendors, and maintaining accurate financial records related to payables. The role plays a critical part in maintaining strong vendor relationships and supporting smooth financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, review, and process vendor invoices and employee reimbursement requests.
  • Match purchase orders, delivery receipts, and invoices for validation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of payable transactions into the accounting system.
  • Monitor due dates and prepare check vouchers and payment summaries.
  • Schedule and process payments through checks, bank transfers, or other approved methods.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve any discrepancies with suppliers.
  • Maintain an organized filing system for all AP documents, both digital and physical.
  • Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and other departments for invoice and delivery validation.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing tasks.
  • Respond promptly to vendor inquiries and provide payment status updates.
  • Monitor and report on AP aging and outstanding balances.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 1–2 years of relevant experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or other ERP systems).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
