Purpose:

The Port Services Team Lead is responsible for leading and developing the husbandry agency team, ensuring customer requirements are met as per service agreements, and overseeing port call arrangements. This role involves managing team performance, driving process improvements, and maintaining compliance with operational standards to deliver exceptional service to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Account Sales to coordinate and oversee the service performance of husbandry port calls within the area.
  • Lead and develop the team by evaluating performance, providing feedback, coaching, and ensuring optimal resource setup and competence.
  • Monitor vessel port calls for assigned customer accounts and address follow-up inquiries effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with Husbandry Agency Standard Operating Procedures, Supplier Governance standards, and proper use of operating systems (e.g., WASP, SMS).
  • Oversee global port calls execution in collaboration with Operations to meet customer expectations.
  • Maintain proactive, efficient, and timely communication with customers.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, or cost-effectiveness.
  • Gather information to resolve Final DA Settlement disputes and follow up on complaints/non-compliances through improvement processes.
  • Attend business review meetings with customers and engage with relevant stakeholders as required.

Qualifications:

  • Marine background or experience in a similar position.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in customer service or ships agency operations.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and systematically.
  • Effective time management skills to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Proficient in computer applications; aptitude for learning new systems is essential.
