Operations Warehouse Supervisor

  • Reporting Line
  • During Probationary Period, Primary reporting to 1Export to 1Export Operations Manager
  • Business Knowledge
  • Gain reasonable familiarity with all 1Export business processes.
  • Gain mastery of Operations Team functions, forms and tasks especially:

i. Project Cost Tracker

  1. Cost and timetable components per project.

ii. SAP Business One

  1. Inventory Management

  2. Bill of materials

iii. Warehouse Inventory Level Tracker

iv. 1Export Warehouse Mobile App

v. Operations and Logistics Costs

vi. Supplier Database

vii. Order Processing Materials Costs

viii. Production / Creation of Order Processing Materials

  • Communication with Suppliers and Outsourced Service Providers
  • Introduction to suppliers and service providers as the new primary contact person for order processing and project implementation.
  • Familiarity with each supplier's brand and products, and key personnel.
  • Mastery of each service provider's services, rates and key personnel.
  • Proactive documented communication via group chat or email regarding project implementation / order processing.
  • Immediate escalation to 1Export Operations Team of any events or communications from suppliers / service providers which may cause project timetables delay, implementation inaccuracy or cost overrun.
  • Project / Task Briefing and Implementation
  • Receive and understand instructions per project from Operations team in person at 1Export office.
  • Assist in projecting costs and timetables based on project brief, sales targets and historical data.
  • Take into account inter-departmental factors in drafting timetables, such as:

i. Sales deadlines

ii. Supplier lead time

iii. Logistics deadlines

  • Presentation of projected plans,
  • Take charge of each project to achieve:

i. Accuracy of implementation.

ii. Warehouse cost targets

iii. Project timetables / turnaround time

  • Assist in preparation of warehouse / manpower briefing documents.
  • Conduct warehouse / manpower briefings, and periodically visit the warehouse to monitor progress and implementation per project.
  • Constantly track and fill out each project's trade shipment form and cost tracking sheet.
  • Office Inventory Maintenance and Enhancement
  • Take on maintenance (encoding of inbound and outbound activities)
  • Within the probationary period, provide concrete suggestions to improve inventory tracking.
  • Utilize existing resources (SAP B1, Warehouse App) to improve inventory tracking.

6. Warehouse

a. Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items

b. Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in the delivery area.

c. Unload merchandise from the trucks and check to ensure that they match with the delivery documents such as the bill of lading, shipping invoice or delivery note.

d. Verify that the goods are intact and report any defects.

e. Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits.

f. Completes deliveries by driving truck or van to and from vendors.

g. Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders.

h. Conduct weekly cycle counts.

i. Maintains quality service by following organization standards.

j. Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

k. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

l. Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
