Job Objective

The Logistics Manager's primary role is to
organize inventory stocks and manage the distribution of finished goods to customers
, ensuring that the
right products are delivered to the right location on time, in full, and at optimal cost
. This position oversees
transportation, stock control, warehousing
, and monitors product flow from
production plants → warehouse → customers
.

Work & Professional Experience Required

  • 5–10 years
    experience in
    warehousing, inventory management, and outbound logistics operations
    , preferably in FMCG.
  • Strong computer skills:
    Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
    .
  • Familiarity with
    ERP systems
    (Priority System or similar) for inventory, material management, sales, and distribution.
  • Proven experience as a
    Logistics Manager or similar role
    , preferably in FMCG companies.
  • Bachelor's degree
    in Logistics, Supply Chain, IT/Computer Science, or related courses.

Primary Responsibilities / Duties

  • Negotiate with carriers and
    reduce shipping costs
    through 3rd-party providers.
  • Monitor shipping reports and
    plan freight for outgoing goods
    .
  • Review shipping notices, bills of lading, and schedules to determine priorities and methods.
  • Oversee
    receiving, unloading, and storage
    of goods in warehouse locations.
  • Manage
    shipment processes
    , including packaging, labeling, loading, and documentation.
  • Ensure
    On-Time and In-Full Delivery (OTIF)
    by collaborating with sales, scheduling, and production.
  • Maintain
    inventory accuracy
    through cycle counts and physical audits.
  • Prepare
    monthly logistics reports
    (OTIF, cost-to-sales, utilization, etc.).
  • Conduct
    team performance reviews
    and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Analyze freight costs and identify
    cost-saving opportunities
    .
  • Schedule maintenance for company-owned vehicles and manage fleet utilization.
  • Support
    process improvement initiatives
    and ensure adherence to SOPs.
