TransPerfect Connect (TPC) is looking for 
highly fluent English ⇔ Mandarin speakers
 who want to use their bilingual skills to make a real difference. As an 
Over-the-Phone (OPI) and Video Remote Interpreter (VRI)

What You'll Do

  • Provide accurate, consecutive interpretation between 
    English and Mandarin
     (healthcare, legal, financial, customer support).
  • Ensure neutrality, clarity, and cultural accuracy while preserving tone and intent.
  • Handle live calls with professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality.
  • Use note-taking, memory retention, and active listening to manage complex conversations.
  • Participate in ongoing coaching and training to strengthen interpreting skills.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma (required); college degree preferred.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin Language (B2+ proficiency or higher).
  • Ability to pass a language and interpreting skills assessment.
  • Strong verbal communication, emotional control, and professionalism in fast-paced situations.

Work From Home Requirements

  • Quiet, distraction-free workspace.
  • Desktop or laptop (Windows/Mac) with 
    at least 16GB RAM
    , no older than 5 years.
  • Stable wired internet: 
    30 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload minimum
     (no hotspot).
  • Functioning webcam; Windows 10+ / macOS Big Sur (OS 11)+.
