Job Description
As an Assistant Audit Manager, you will take the lead in driving quality, compliance, and team development across multiple audit engagements. Your expertise will ensure accuracy, consistency, and high performance in every deliverable-contributing directly to the success of international clients and your team's professional growth.

The Qualifications We Seek
Education & Experience
- CPA qualified (or equivalent professional certification).
- 6-7 years of experience in an audit environment, preferably within Australian public practice or firms handling Australian clients.
- Strong understanding of Australian accounting, auditing, and taxation standards (AASB, IFRS, and ATO requirements).
- Demonstrated ability to plan, control, and complete audit assignments independently.
- Proven supervisory and team management experience.

- Familiarity with Australian tax compliance processes (e.g., BAS, IAS, and income tax preparation) is highly desirable.
Your Daily Tasks
Technical (50%)
- Run and control assigned audit engagements
- Ensure successful completion of audits using technical skills
- Perform core audit activities: analytics, work papers, financial statement prep, documentation, system evaluation, confirmations, reviews, and compilation
- Maintain quality and timely completion of audit files
- Schedule meetings and resolve workflow disruptions
- Support staff by addressing queries and guiding audit tasks
Process Management/Administration (20%)
- Complete timesheets and budget engagement tasks
- Monitor time usage and escalate budget issues
- Update priorities and help improve processes
Self Development (10%)
- Attend training and self-study to strengthen technical and soft skills
- Stay updated on software and audit practices
- Participate in team meetings and share learnings
Staff Management (10%)
- Delegate and assign tasks
- Lead team meetings and review assignments
- Address staff issues, review performance, and support recruitment
Staff Development (10%)
- Mentor and coach team members
- Provide on-the-job training
- Conduct need analysis and facilitate trainings
