Audit Assistant supports senior auditors by gathering and analyzing financial data, preparing audit documentation, and verifying the accuracy of financial records. Key responsibilities include assisting with audit planning and execution, assessing internal controls, ensuring compliance with regulations, and drafting reports with findings and recommendations. Core responsibilities
- Audit support: Assist senior auditors in planning, executing, and finalizing audits.
- Data analysis: Gather, review, and analyze financial data and records, including bank deposits, payments, budgets, and balance sheets.
- Documentation and reporting: Prepare audit working papers, schedules, and reports, which include findings and recommendations.
- Control assessment: Help assess the company's internal control systems and identify areas for improvement.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations and auditing standards.
Key tasks
- Verify the accuracy of financial statements and accounting records.
- Check and reconcile bank deposits and payments.
- Assist with risk analysis to determine the scope of audit work.
- Communicate with internal teams to ensure an efficient audit process.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of auditing standards and procedures.
Job Description
- Assisting with the completion of audit engagements.
- Learning a thorough knowledge of the Client's business and related needs.
- Preparing financial statements, and management letters in accordance with professional and Firm standards.
- Auditing of agency payroll
- Fieldwork
- Cash count audit
- MR audit
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, one or more years audit experience and proficiency in use of computers is required for this position.
- Good interpersonal communication skills are a must to communicate with the client as well as with the colleagues in the organization
- Should have an ability to multi task and complete the assignments within the given time constraints
- A thorough professional co-operative attitude combined with a quality of dependability and reliability
- An eye for detail with excellent time management and organizational skills
- Mathematical skills, analytical thinking ability, communication skills, attention to detail
- Current CPA license, public accounting and financial institution experience a plus but not required.
