Product Quality Manager

Job Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry.
  • Preferably: Licensed Chemist
  • With more than 5 years of successful experience in Product Quality in oil and gas industry.
  • Must be willing to work in Bataan and to travel to different locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operational

  1. Quality Assurance & Control Oversee the implementation and enforcement of quality control procedures for all petroleum products being handled and sold by the company. Ensure compliance with national and international quality standards such as PNS, ASTM, API, ISO, and local regulatory bodies. Supervise laboratory testing and analysis of raw materials, intermediates, and final products. Monitor key quality indicators and product specifications throughout the distribution processes.

  2. Compliance & Regulatory Affairs Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements related to fuel and petroleum products. Interface with regulatory agencies and ensure timely reporting and documentation. Represent the company in external coordination and meetings with external agencies on discussion and formulation of petroleum product specifications and standards. Support internal and external audits and lead corrective action initiatives when necessary.

  3. Supplier & Customer Interaction Evaluate supplier quality systems and performance to ensure raw material quality. Address customer complaints and investigate product quality issues, leading root cause analyses and implementing corrective/preventive actions (CAPA). Coordinate with sales, logistics, and customer service teams to support product release and resolve quality-related inquiries.

  4. Process Improvement & Risk Management Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and quality improvement. Lead quality risk assessments and develop mitigation plans. Implement continuous improvement programs such as Six Sigma, Lean, or TQM (Total Quality Management).

  5. Documentation & Reporting Manage quality documentation systems including product certificates of analysis (COAs), safety data sheets (SDS), and quality manuals. Prepare and present regular quality performance reports to management.

  6. Team Leadership & Training Supervise and develop quality control staff and laboratory personnel of all fuel terminals. Provide training on quality standards, testing methods, and company procedures to the various departments in order to increase understanding and consciousness on product quality. Foster a culture of quality and safety across the organization.

  7. Product Development Play a key role in product development. Collaborate with 3rd party suppliers and partners in the development new products which will provide the company growth.
