JOB DESCRIPTION:

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Raw Material Testing: Conduct sample testing of palm oil to check FFA, color, and peroxide value before refining.

  2. In-Process Monitoring: Perform hourly sample testing during production and report results to shift coordinators.

  3. Abnormality Reporting: Immediately inform shift coordinators of any irregularities and document in Daily Laboratory Analysis.

  4. Finished Product Analysis: Compare finished product quality with pre-refining specifications.

  5. Special Sample Analysis: Analyze special samples based on established procedures.

  6. Storage Monitoring: Oversee storage tank segregation and oil product quality.

  7. Quality Monitoring: Conduct visual, olfactory, and sample testing for raw materials and finished goods.

  8. Laboratory Maintenance: Prepare and standardize reagents, calibrate equipment, and manage inventory.

  9. Compliance: Ensure GMP/HACCP compliance and monitoring.

  10. Safety and Housekeeping: Maintain a safe and clean Quality Control office.

  11. Technical Support: Assist in preparing technical studies and reports.

  12. Certificate of Analysis: Conduct sample tests for load out and prepare certificates.

JOB SPECIFICATION:

Education:

  • Licensed Chemist

Work Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a chemical laboratory of a food company

Competencies:

  • Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures and chemical handling

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel and MS Word

  • Detail-oriented and analytical

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php25, Php35,000.00 per month
