HR Manager – Job Description

Position: HR Manager

Department: Human Resources

Reports To: Owner / Operations Head

Location: On-site

Overview

We are looking for a highly organized, proactive, and people-centered HR Manager to lead all human resource functions of the company. The ideal candidate is experienced in creating systems and managing HR operations in a fast-paced environment. Experience in manufacturing, production, or plant operations is a strong plus, as this role involves workforce planning, compliance, and structured HR processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment for all positions (frontline, back office, operations, and production/manufacturing roles).
  • Develop hiring strategies to attract qualified talent and meet staffing requirements.
  • Create onboarding systems and orientation programs for new hires.

2. Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Maintain positive employee relations and act as the main point of contact for staff concerns.
  • Develop employee engagement activities, recognition systems, and morale-boosting programs.
  • Conduct regular check-ins and maintain open communication across all departments.

3. HR Policies, Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure compliance with DOLE regulations and company policies.
  • Update and maintain employee handbooks, job descriptions, contracts, and disciplinary forms.
  • Manage timekeeping, attendance monitoring, and policy enforcement.

4. Performance Management

  • Implement KPI systems and conduct performance appraisals.
  • Support department heads in coaching and performance improvement plans.
  • Recommend training and development programs for skill enhancement.

5. Payroll & Compensation Coordination

  • Oversee payroll preparation in coordination with Accounting/Finance.
  • Ensure accurate computation of wages, overtime, government contributions, incentives, and bonuses.
  • Maintain updated records of benefits, leave credits, and payroll adjustments.

6. Training & Development

  • Identify training needs across all departments, including manufacturing or production teams.
  • Organize internal or external training sessions.
  • Monitor and evaluate training results and improvements in work output.

7. Labor Relations & Conflict Resolution

  • Handle disciplinary actions, incident reports, and conflict mediation professionally and fairly.
  • Collaborate with management to maintain a harmonious and compliant workplace environment.

8. Organizational Development

  • Suggest improvements to HR processes, workflows, and organizational culture.
  • Support scaling of the team as the business grows or as manufacturing operations expand.
  • Build structured systems for manpower planning and succession planning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years HR experience, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Experience in manufacturing or production operations is a strong advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of DOLE regulations, payroll processes, benefits administration, and labor standards.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems, Google Workspace, and basic reporting/analytics.

Work Hours & Environment

  • Full-time, onsite role
  • Must be comfortable working with both office staff and blue-collar/manufacturing teams
  • Occasional work on weekends or holidays for urgent HR requirements or company events

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php60, Php80,000.00 per month
