About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Records Staff to join our team at Diliman Doctors Hospital, Inc. in Quezon City, Metro Manila. This full-time position is crucial in maintaining the accuracy, confidentiality and accessibility of patient medical records, playing a vital role in supporting the overall healthcare operations of our hospital.
What you'll be doing
Gathers and ensures completeness of patient information by collecting demographic information from a variety of sources; interacting with registration areas and physicians' offices; retrieving information from automated printer.
Maintains master patient index by completing assigned portion of daily audit trail; corrects and communicates problems according to established procedures.
Initiates the medical record by creating, arranging and processing the patient care record folder.
Maintains record availability by processing charts into the department; using chart mark-off procedures; facilitating chart location activities.
Retrieves medical records by following chart-out procedures.
What we're looking for
- Graduate of Health Information Management, Medical Records Administration, Nursing, Allied Health, or any related course
- Preferably with ICD-10 training
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in a medical records or administrative role within a healthcare setting
- Experience in medical records or HIM services in a hospital setting is an advantage.
- Familiarity with PhilHealth requirements, DOH reporting, and HIS/EHR systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Proficiency in data entry, filing, and records management
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with healthcare providers and patients
