Job Purpose:

The Product Technical Engineer is responsible for evaluating the quality and functionality of all new items arriving in the warehouse. This role provide technical support, product education, and troubleshooting assistance to store branches, while also helping to enhance customer satisfaction through product reliability. The engineer plays a key role in testing, presenting, and documenting THD products, ensuring operational excellence and technical accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Electrical Engineer, Electronics Engineer, or Mechanical Engineer.
  • Strong technical background in construction, electrical products, and equipment.
  • Skilled in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and use of technical tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inspect and test newly delivered items in the warehouse to ensure they meet quality standards prior to distribution.
  • Develop and deliver presentations that communicate detailed specifications, features, and functionalities of THD products.
  • Create user manuals and technical guides to support branch operations.
  • Conduct product orientations and presentations, particularly for new items and house brands.
  • Respond to branch inquiries regarding product performance, providing clear explanations, troubleshooting tips, and operational guidance.
  • Build and maintain a technical knowledge base, including frequently asked questions (FAQs) and troubleshooting documents.
  • Diagnose product-related issues and coordinate appropriate repair or technical support solutions.
  • Offer technical feedback and assessments for items such as appliances, power tools, and other equipment prior to ordering or rollout.
  • Perform additional tasks as may be assigned by management or the immediate supervisor.
