The Opportunity

We're hiring an experienced Flutter full-stack developer to own urgent fixes and ongoing polish on an app that's already in market-ready shape. You'll work directly with the founder as a right hand, ship critical improvements fast, and help set the technical tone. If it's a great fit, there's potential for equity participation.

  • Engagement: Part-time to Full-time (min. 3 months)
  • Location: Remote, Philippines (with 4+ hours overlap with AEST)
  • Compensation: Salary (to be discussed with shortlisted candidates)
What You'll Do
  • Triage and fix high-priority issues across Flutter (Dart) codebase (UI/UX, state mgmt, navigation, performance).
  • Implement/repair subscription gating & free-trial flows (iOS/Android in-app purchase, entitlements).
  • Stabilize data persistence (timelines, journaling, boundary tracker) and error handling.
  • Integrate and harden OpenAI API features (prompting, safety rails, rate limits, retries).
  • Ensure privacy & security best practices (PII handling, secure storage, crash/analytics config).
  • Manage store readiness: versioning, signing, release builds (AAB/IPA), App Store/Play Console submissions.
  • Set up/maintain lightweight CI/CD (e.g., Codemagic/GitHub Actions), QA checklists, and release notes.
  • Communicate clearly in short daily standups; document decisions and changes.
Must-Have Skills
  • 3–5+ years professional experience; 2+ years in Flutter/Dart shipping production apps.
  • Strong grasp of state management (Provider, Riverpod, Bloc, etc.), navigation, and responsive UI.
  • Experience with OpenAI (or similar LLM) API integration and server-side orchestration.
  • Android/iOS release experience: signing, provisioning, TestFlight/internal testing, store policies.
  • Payments: In-App Purchases / Billing (trials, subscriptions, entitlements).
  • Backend proficiency (any of: Firebase/Firestore, Supabase, Node/Express, or similar).
  • Excellent Git hygiene, PR reviews, and issue tracking.
  • Clear written/spoken English; proactive, reliable communication.
Nice to Have
  • Firebase suite (Auth, Functions, Remote Config, Crashlytics, Analytics).
  • App security hardening (obfuscation, certificate pinning basics, secure storage).
  • Experience with privacy-by-design and trauma-informed UX.
  • Monitoring/observability (Sentry, LogRocket, Analytics funnels).
  • Basic design sense (Figma handoff, component systems).
