Architectural CAD Drafter (Tech Data Drafter)

Job Summary

The Architectural CAD Drafter (Tech Data Drafter) is responsible for creating accurate and detailed architectural drawings and maintaining the company's house plan database using computer-aided drafting (CAD) software. This role supports the Builder Drafting Department by reviewing builder architectural files, analyzing plot and lot plans, and ensuring each draft meets company and builder standards. The position collaborates with senior team members and the Assistant Manager for Tech Data to deliver precise, high-quality, and timely drafting outputs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use CAD software to draft accurately scaled footprints for plot and lot plan use.
  • Review and interpret builder architectural files to analyze, produce, and update footprints for plot plans and lot fits.
  • Update and troubleshoot the company's house plan database to ensure data accuracy.
  • Evaluate and prioritize rush jobs to meet project deadlines.
  • Meet daily production goals and coordinate with drafting management for task assignments.
  • Communicate with senior team members and assistant managers to resolve drafting questions or conflicts.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures to maintain quality standards.
  • Stay updated on drafting trends, tools, and technologies to enhance work efficiency.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace.
  • Proficiency in CAD or other architectural drafting tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot drafting or database-related issues.
  • Highly adaptable and proactive in handling multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
  • Demonstrates arithmetic and analytical thinking skills.
  • Effective communication and time management abilities.
  • Clear and coherent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Desired Qualifications

  • One-year certification in Architectural or Civil Drafting from a college or technical school preferred.
  • Certification from an accredited CAD program is a plus.
  • Exposure to Drafting, Construction, Home Building, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Land Surveying is an advantage.

Work Schedule:

9:00 PM – 6:00 AM PHT, Monday to Friday
