The Architectural Drafter is responsible for accurately creating detailed architectural drawings and maintaining the house plan database using computer‑aided drafting (CAD) software. The role supports the Builder Drafting department by reviewing builder architectural files, analyzing plot plans, and ensuring each draft meets company and builder standards. This position collaborates closely with senior team members and the Assistant Manager for Tech Data to deliver high‑quality, precise, and timely drafting outputs. Responsibilities: Draft and update accurately scaled footprints and plot plans using CAD software. Review and interpret builder architectural files to ensure accurate lot fits and plan updates. Maintain and troubleshoot the company’s house plan database for data accuracy. Prioritize and complete rush jobs to meet project timelines and daily production goals. Collaborate with management and senior team members to resolve drafting or project issues. Follow company policies and stay updated on industry trends and drafting technologies. Qualifications: 2–3 years of experience in drafting and architecture. At least a high school diploma or equivalent; a one‑year certification in Architectural or Civil Drafting is preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CAD or other architectural drafting tools. Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities independently. Strong analytical, arithmetic, time management, and problem‑solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; experience or exposure to drafting, construction, home building, architecture, civil engineering, or land surveying is an advantage.
