The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization. The Finance Manager plays a strategic role in financial decision-making and contributes to the overall growth and financial stability of the company.
Key Responsibilities:Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Develop and manage the annual budgeting process.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis.
- Analyze financial data to support decision-making and identify areas for cost optimization or revenue growth.
- Provide financial forecasts, cash flow projections, and business performance reports.
Accounting & Financial Operations:
- Supervise daily finance and accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records and transactions.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards, tax laws, and financial regulations.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, and implement audit recommendations.
- Identify financial risks and propose mitigation strategies.
Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor a team of accounting and finance staff.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide training and development opportunities.
- Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Strategic Support:
- Work closely with senior management to develop financial strategies aligned with business goals.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and capital expenditures.
Qualifications:
Skills & Competencies:
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and analysis
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical abilities
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field (Required)
- CPA, CMA, or other relevant certification (Preferred)
- Master's degree in Business Administration or Finance is a plus
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in accounting/finance roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial position
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, standards and reporting.
