Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: Makati, Philippines

Employment Type: Full-time

Shift: Mid Shift

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional Agile team to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated UI and API test cases using modern automation frameworks
  • Continuously improve automation frameworks and QA processes
  • Plan, execute, and analyze results of automated tests
  • Support manual testing efforts when required
  • Report and track defects using Jira or similar tools
  • Troubleshoot issues across various environments, including production
  • Validate API integrations through both automated and manual testing
  • Conduct regression, smoke, and release testing

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in software testing with a strong focus on automation
  • Proven hands-on experience with automated testing of complex web applications
  • Expertise in front-end automation using JavaScript-based frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, WebDriverIO, Protractor, and Jest
  • Experience with API test automation tools such as Postman or RestAssured
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
  • Proficient with Git for version control
  • English communication skills at B2/C1 level or higher
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset

Preferred / Nice to Have

  • Experience with load and performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling)
  • Back-end automation experience using Java, Python, or similar languages
  • Mobile app automation testing experience (iOS/Android) with tools like Appium
  • Domain knowledge in airline, travel, or e-commerce industries
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and monitoring tools
