Cebu Primera Food Industries Inc., operator of the Mang Tinapay brand, is a fast-growing chain of bakeshops & snackshops that started in Cebu and has now brand presence & stores across the Philippines--in Luzon, Visayas & Mindanao.

Position Vacancy: Accounts Payable Staff (Cebu - Accounting Department)

Location: Cebu City, Cebu

This is an full-time and on-site job vacancy. Work days are Mondays - Fridays (8:00AM - 6:30PM).

Position Objective:

To properly record business transactions especially relating to payables of our stores and other office tasks as assigned  in accordance with the company policy and procedures.

Major Tasks:

  1. Timely payment of accounts to supplier or branch transactions if any;
  2. Receives all invoices, delivery receipts, and other request for payment etc. & checks validity of the documents
  3. Records invoices, delivery receipts, check/ cash deposits & other documents in the accounting software
  4. Prepares & submits cheques for approval and releasing approved checks to suppliers
  5. Prepares and replenishes petty cash funds;
  6. Monthly reconciliation with suppliers through regular request of Statement of Accounts;
  7. Assists in consolidation of Supplier Monitoring Reports
  8. Timely preparation of monthly SOA of transactions
  9. Files chronologically & safekeeps pertinent documents / reports (e.g. check vouchers, deposit slips, support documents, etc);
  10. Initiates & prepares the fund transfer process from depository account to disbursing account based on the summary of checks prepared within the given time period
  11. Conducts or assists in the audit of different branches when necessary;
  12. Assist Accounting Supervisor/ Manager on clerical works, from time to time.
  13. Performs other duties related to Accounting & Finance functions which may be delegated from time-to-time

JOB REQUIREMENT:

  • Graduate of Accountancy, Management Accounting, or any Accounting-related courses.
  • Preferably at least 1 year experience in financial management with increasing responsibilities for multi-faceted direction and planning. *Accepting fresh graduates as applicants
  • Possesses sense of responsibility and is keen to details
  • Has a high degree of the values of honesty, integrity, and credibility.
  • Computer literate (e.g. Microsoft Office esp. Excel)
  • Strong organizational and analyzation skills and thoroughness in the handling of data and figures.
  • Has sense of initiative and can work under pressure
  • Has average to above average oral & written communication skills, and can handle interactions with other team members, when necessary.
  • Knowledgeable in Quickbooks and/or SAP application is a plus.
