Job Description

As a Senior Developer, you'll lead end-to-end design and delivery of core product features, guide system architecture, mentor junior developers, and pioneer AI-driven development practices to ensure scalability, performance, and resilience.

Shift: Day shift, 9AM onwards (NZ time), weekends off

The Qualifications We Seek

• 5+ years of software development experience across modern SaaS environments
• Experience migrating code from existing developers to in-house teams
• Ability to proactively identify solutions and improve ways of working
• Strong skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and C# (or equivalent enterprise-grade languages)
• Experience interpreting code written by other developers and enabling the team to manage it in-house long term
• Experience using or evaluating AI-based developer tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Code Rabbit, Cursor)
• Comfort embedding AI-based developer tools into workflows
• Ability to work independently and contribute effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills, especially when discussing technical decisions
• Curiosity, strategic thinking, and a forward-looking approach to problem solving
• Willingness to experiment with AI and help build internal R&D capability, embedding AI-driven methods in platform development, engineering workflow, and delivery pipelines
• Openness to viewing AI as a partner in accelerating software development
• Bonus: Experience in cybersecurity, SaaS, or data-heavy products

Your Daily Tasks

• Lead design and delivery of core product features across front-end and back-end
• Own and refine system architecture to ensure scalability, performance, and security
• Mentor and support junior and intermediate developers to raise the technical bar
• Drive adoption of AI-driven development workflows (e.g., Copilot, Code Rabbit, Cursor)
• Champion engineering best practices, CI/CD pipelines, and test automation
• Partner with the founder/CTO on product roadmap and technical strategy
• Identify opportunities for new features, improved automation, and long-term technical resilience
• Communicate engineering decisions clearly and confidently to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Shape internal R&D capability and lead AI integration initiatives
