The Membership Officer serves as the primary liaison between FILSCAP and its members, ensuring smooth onboarding, effective communication, and responsive service. This role is key in strengthening relationships with members and supporting the organization's mission of protecting and promoting the rights of music creators, publishers, and copyright owners.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

Membership Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Promote FILSCAP membership and recruit qualified applicants.
  • Facilitate the end-to-end application process and ensure timely completion of requirements.
  • Conduct orientations for new members on policies, benefits, and procedures.

Membership Documentation & Records Management

  • Process and maintain accurate records of membership applications, deeds of assignment, and declarations of works.
  • Ensure documents are filed securely and in compliance with policies.
  • Update the membership database regularly.

Member Relations & Support

  • Act as the first point of contact for member queries, concerns, and complaints.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to resolve issues.
  • Build and maintain strong member relationships to ensure satisfaction and engagement.

Project & Event Support

  • Assist in organizing membership-related projects, forums, and workshops.
  • Support marketing campaigns and engagement initiatives.
  • Provide logistical and administrative assistance during events.

Communications & Correspondence

  • Respond promptly to emails, phone calls, and social media inquiries.
  • Draft and disseminate membership-related announcements and updates.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Communications for consistent messaging.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Work with internal teams to enhance membership processes and services.
  • Gather and analyze member feedback for improvements.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience in membership services, customer relations, or administrative work preferred.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and integrity.
  • Team player with a service-oriented mindset.
